It will become a shade for you on the day of judgement, a day when the sun will be brought close to people’s heads until Allah passes judgement. [Sahih Jami 4510]

SINS
The Prophet (PBUH) said that Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire. [Tirmidhi 614]
ANGER OF ALLAH
Lastly, but not the least, “Charity given in secret extinguishes the wrath of the Allah,” as was narrated from the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him). [Sahih Jami, #3759]
